28 Weeks Down, 12 More Weeks to Go!

Well folks, I have come this far...so, I think I might just make it! Today I am 28 weeks along & have 12 more to go. What to Expect says, "By now, your baby, who weighs in at about two and a half pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to his or her growing bag of tricks. (Outside in the real world, blinking is necessary to help keep foreign objects out of the eyes.) Other impressive new talents being added to your baby's roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing."

Everything seems to be going good. He is very active & I like to talk to him now to see if I can get him to interact. I had a doctor's appt on Tuesday and he was just kicking away while we were checking his heartrate! I don't know if it was the "glucose test drink" that I just had, which had lots of sugar in it or the fetal doppler that got him all excited, but he was definitely trying out some of his "karate kid" skills!

I have been busy with baby, life, work, photography, etc...But I have lots to share, just need to find the time to do it! Trey & I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. I cannot believe it has already been 3 years! And now, we have 3 months until our first born child! How exciting! I am so lucky to have Trey in my life. He is so good to me & I know he is going to be the best daddy ever! I am sometimes still amazed that we have come this far, but then I realize that 'we had to go through what we went through to get to where we are...' and now, we are here! We have an exciting, unknown future ahead of us. Thanks to God for the plans He has in store for us.

On a similar note, we are so truly blessed. We have our showers coming up & I am getting so excited to get all the baby stuff ready. Mom & Dad will be coming in town the weekend of the 13th-14th to visit & so that Mom can attend the shower. I can't wait. I miss them so much! Our friends and family have been fantastic through all of this. Thanks to them we are going to have wonderful things for our baby - I can't wait to share!

Other than that, I have just been counting the days until this little one comes in and lights up my world. June is going to be an exciting, busy month for us! It will probably fly by! What with doctor's appts, our anniversary, 2 baby showers, Trey's birthday, Father's (to be) Day, etc! We can't wait. BRING it on!

Father in heaven, thank You for working behind the scenes in my life. I trust that the appointed time for me is on its way. I am content in You, knowing that You have a good plan for my future. I bless you today and always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
