well i need to update everyone with the news of my own little bundle of joy, but that will have to wait because today is all about mr jamison's 9 month session we had last week. i am still on maternity leave but have a few kiddoes that have milestones that we can't miss!!

this kid has the sweetest smile and i cannot believe that 9 months have already come & gone. it's amazing that we will soon be taking his 1st year photos. anyway, who needs words...just see him for yourself! <3 him!!!

Stice Family Update...01.05.12

Just wanted to drop a line or two and give you an update to "keep you up with the Stice's..." probably not as cool as the kardashians, but surely a close 2nd...

we had a fantastic christmas and new years - we were able to celebrate with all of our family and it was wonderful. the sosebee family - poppy, gigi, uncle spud & aunt b - came in christmas week/weekend...then the stice family - beej, emmy, aunt sis, uncle d & miss landry - came in new years weekend. we had a GREAT time. so sad to see it end.

but here we are now, about 5 days into 2012 already, and a mere week away from our newest addition, miss chandler morgan joining our already blessed family. we are anxious, nervous, excited, etc... it's very surreal. below is small photo recap of all of our holiday fun...ENJOY!!

THE COMERS....are back!!! It's been a little while since i have taken photos of their smiling faces but we did it! :) i always love taking their photos, not because they are very close friends, but also because they are all so photogenic. Presley tried to "try" me, but i always win. lol. she thinks she knows her aunt lili, but i get some smiles out of her when i really try.

we met on an awfully cold day, so we had to do some indoors - in their beautifully decorated home. but we managed to brave the cold for a few minutes here and there to shoot some too. P LOVES it outside. she's an outdoors-y kind of girl. so she was much happier there. here are a few of my favorite photos of some of my most favorite people. <3 you guys.

we met up last monday finally...and may i add that God was on our side!! we had been postponing due to sickness and weather, etc...and HE picked the perfect afternoon for us to reschedule. i feel so honored when i have repeat customers like this! they could have chosen anyone...but they chose me. Thank you guys! i really appreciate it. hope you enjoy your photos!

...meet the hobbs' family - you will LOVE them. i already do. they are very close friends of ours. we are very glad they have made their way back to amarillo with their sweet little family! it's been a long time since i have taken tim & tracy's photos, and i have NEVER gotten to take mr sawyer's photos, so this was a real treat for me! i was honored that his parents asked me to take their holiday pictures. sawyer truly may be the MOST charasmatic child EVER! he has THE funniest facial expressions. the whole session was a LAUGH session. i loved it. can't wait to photograph him again!

yes, miss reagan kaye is 3 months old already! i cannot believe how fast this is going...and in 6 short weeks i am going to have my own little princess! omg!! kimmy, reagan's mom, brought more tutu's, bows, & frills! i can tell there will never be a dull moment photographing this little one. :) she looked precious in all her outfits...even when she didn't like them! she already has lots of personality at such a young age! sassy just like her momma! sorry her daddy was sick and missed out on the fun. she did great and i cannot wait for her 6 month session already! below are some of my favorites...and a couple where i just couldn't resist! ashley, dustin, & landry came to visit!!! it was great to have them here. i miss them already. i wish they could stay forever. i would love it if i could watch Landry grow more closely! anyway, the point is....

Cates & Medellin Families {amarillo family & baby photographer}

about a week and a half ago I met up with 2 sisters and their families on a cool windy day! the cates and the medellins asked me to take their family christmas photos again this year and I was so excited. these little ones have gotten so big. you can see their photos from a year ago - here.

...how did this baby get so big so fast? i cannot believe he is already 6 months old! it seems like yesterday i was in wheeler texas taking his newborn pictures and he was 5 DAYS old! It's so crazy.

it was a cold, cold day and he was such a little trooper. the wind was blowing cold air, right at us, and he even had to get naked and change clothes right in the middle of the pumpkin patch...and he didn't even wimper! what a champ. love this kid. he's such a little bear. i just want to hug & kiss all over those cheeks everytime i see him. i am so blessed to have met his parents a few short years ago at kimmy & trent's wedding. i enjoy every session we have together!

weekend before last, i was able to get together with the Demetro family to have a little session at the park. it was a beautiful day & we had a good time chasing the girls...well, i did! :) i cannot believe how big both of the girls are getting. we are lucky enough to see each other every day at Miss Dawn's house (our kids go to daycare together)...it's great. we are a tight-knit little family. but even though i see them daily, it still amazes me to think about when we all knew each other in college, pre-kids - the guys playing WTAMU baseball together...no marriage or kids... it's nice to know people through different phases of life. they are fun to be around...and kylee & cooper love to play together! (unless cooper won't hold kylee's hand, then she gets really upset! lol)

anyway, i haven't taken the girls' pictures since last christmas (you can see those here) - kinsley was only 5 weeks old! so as far as photographing them, they have changed so much. i was getting a little choked up while looking at a couple pictures of Kylee looking like such a "big" girl. it is absolutely amazing how fast time flies by - sounds cliche' but couldn't be more true.

september 19, 2011, miss landry ryann marshall graced us with her presence weighing 7lbs, 7oz, & measuring 19 inches long. she is beautiful & healthy. we are all so proud that she is here.

i was honored to be able to take her newborn photos. i played dress up & had so much fun. ok, so after looking at the photos below, that i actually did "narrow" down, i realize that maybe i did go over-board, but she was soooo very perfect. what a trooper. my heart is already aching to see her again.

my lil frog prince turned two...

cooper westin, mama's sweet, little, red-head frog prince, turned two in august. i can barely believe he is so big. time literally flies by so fast. it's incredibly amazing. he is so loved by so many too. what a lucky kid. :) he had a great turn-out at his "dinosaur" party and was spoiled with 100s of gifts! he got almost every member of the Toy Story crew...one of his most favorite things right now, for his birthday. i thought it would be fun to take his photos with his favorite members, but he had other ideas. he fought me tooth & nail, so i had to bribe him with a very large lollipop... :) i smile now, looking over them because it made the photos even cuter! i know i am pretty partial, but he is the cutest kid ever. he's not always on his best behavior but his sweet face is his saving grace! i love this kid more than he will ever know!! i am so lucky to have him. thank you, GOD, for this blessing!

Reagan Kaye Gaines has arrived - Newborn Session

After much anticipation, Miss Reagan has graced the world with her presence. And I was just lucky enough to get to take her newborn photos! Kristen & I were her parents wedding photographer, 2.5 short years ago, when I was pregnant with my first little blessing, Cooper. Here you can see Kimmy's bridal portraits.

Kimmy & I have kept in contact since the wedding, and I was honored when she wanted to join my "little blessings" club and I was asked to photograph Reagan's first year. I am so thrilled to be a part of such memorable moments in the Gaines' lives. And pregnant BOTH times!! :) Gets me a little teary to think about how special it really is.

tuesday i met john & kristi after i got off for a quick session to celebrate their 5 year anniversary! they are a super sweet couple. i have known john's family for most of my life, but am just getting to know kristi. she is sweet as can be and i can't wait to photograph them again. they were very flexible and let me do what ever i wanted to where ever i wanted to go!! :)

Kevin & Katie Kinder, now on their honeymoon, said I do, just before sunset on a beautiful summer night at Ranch House Weddings, in Canyon. July 2011 Fun

....as we start to bring July to a close, I thought I would share some of our fun with you all! We have had an eventful July and, if you know us, we don't slow down!

We went to Ponca City for the 4th of July weekend, then Gigi came & spent the next week with us to keep Cooper. The 16-17th held another Amarillo Softball Tournament that our H&H Men WON again! This was the 7th tourney this year that they have triumphed! :) They are #1 in Texas - West!! They will be going to the World tourney in FL in Sept. Check out their stats on the softball website. We are proud of them! The Daniels' brought the kiddos over & we got to play a bit on Saturday!! They had so much fun.

Last weekend was my 10 year High School Reunion! I can't believe how quickly 10 yrs has flown by. It was great to see everyone and it was crazy how much I missed people, after I saw them again. It was fast & furious on Saturday. Then Sunday was Kinsler's 3rd birthday party...and a sort of "Goodbye" to their precious family. The Fralicks have been best friends of ours for years now, even before all of us were married and had kids. The kids just iced the cake. It still hasn't sunk in to me that they are moving so far away. I get teary-eyed everytime I think of it. :( I am going to miss them so much. Actually I do already....

This coming weekend, I have been granted the honor of photographing Kevin & Katie's wedding. I am super nervous, because I want it to be perfect. However, in the same breath I am so excited. She is beautiful and will only be more so the day of her wedding! They are such a special couple & I am so lucky to have met Katie. Brennan, Katie's cousin, introduced us, and she is amazing. So that being said, I get to be part of all these awesome family functions all the time & love it!!

Fun in Fort Worth - June 2011

we went to fort worth this last weekend to visit Emmy, Beej, Aunt Sis, Uncle D, Memaw, and cousins Brandi, Anthony, & Zaiden. We had such fun playing in the pool and relaxing. Those are the BEST kinds of weekends. Family, Fun & Relaxation!

Liddy Turns ONE!!!!

YAY!! Miss Liddy Scalf turned ONE this last weekend too!! In fact, she & Miss Presley (below) were born on the same day, and I am just the lucky person who has been able to photograph them BOTH for their first year photos!! :) Liddy's mother, Heather (friend/colleague of mine), and I comment constantly that she has "an old soul". She is sweet and reserved. I have loved getting to watch her grow. I cannot believe that the first year has already flown by! I feel so honored to have been chosen to photograph her. I hope to continue to watch her grow. What a precious angel she is!!! <3

Jamison Hayes Couch has arrived! Josh & Elizabeth Couch welcomed this little blessing from heaven into the world on April 26, 2011. Weighing in at 10 lbs and 3 oz, he's perfect! He was also 21.5in long.

He was a mere 5 days old when I took his pictures last week, and he couldn't have been a better newborn subject. He barely fussed, didn't get too upset with clothes changes OR lack thereof clothes!! LOL. He was excellent...And he is soooo precious. I am not completely finished with his photos, but I wanted to post a preview, as a "Happy 1st Mother's Day Treat" for his precious mama...

I am so very lucky that his parents have chosen me to take his photos. I cannot wait to watch him grow.

Miss P's 1 year old session PREVIEW!!

there are no real words that can describe my love for, not only this little girl, but also her family. she is such A VERY BIG DEAL, and brings a smile to my face, every time i see her. she is happy and beautiful.

my cup runs over and my stomach growls for such sweetness!! (and there are always cupcakes)

Miss Presley Grace Comer will be turning O*N*E* this month and we HAD to get those 1 year photos done. she was the best sport and let us play dress up, torture her with cupcakes, kiss her, laugh (with & at her) and all the while didn't fuss a peep...she was perfection. i cannot believe that she is already 1.

i am a grider groupie. i officially love this family! there is never a dull moment, between LITERALLY chasing dillon to take his photo, trying to convince kasey that the best photos of her will be the ones when she keeps her feet on the ground (she was trying to do kartwheels) and rolling around & laying on the concrete to be on derek's "level"...I HAD A GREAT TIME. i always have a great time with them, though. they are more than clients. they are FRIENDS. and i am soooo glad that they choose me for the priceless moments like these.

i LOVE their mother, jessica - superMOM, for sure. not sure how she does it (and still has hair) but i hope i have half her strength someday. ok, enough blubbering...let's get to the "goods".

Miss Liddy graces us with her presence yet again!! She is 9.5mo old now & developing quite a sweet little personality. She had the spotlight Saturday as her big sister Avery was napping and didn't make the session. But she did great. She has the sweetest, most modest demeanor about her these photos. I think she is going to be very well poised...like her mother. :) I love her sweet little smile that came out a few times in these photos too...

A couple of months ago, I got to have a fun "cousin" photoshoot with Benjamin & Olivia. They are just months apart in age, and we had a great time playing with them! They are good-looking kids too!! Their moms are sisters, Audra & Elizabeth, and I have known Audra for almost 10 years now!! Amazing!

The Ken Comer Family - Post-Christmas 2010

Sunday, December 26th, Ken & Terri Comer had ME plus their whole family at their house (their 3 boys+wives & 3 grandchildren)....you probably recognize Ken's name from his dental office here in Amarillo - http://www.myamarillodentist.com/. I have had the distinct pleasure of photographing almost every member of this family before, but this time I got to get the WHOLE bunch together! It was a great time.

These grandchildren are all beautiful/handsome!! Chance is getting so big - I hadn't seen him since Brennan & Landon got married in 2007! He is a boy after my own heart with that RED hair. Lil Kyelie came in town for Halloween & she was part of my Halloween Mini-Session & Contest. ooo. emmm. geeee! i heart this sweet family! i have had the pleasure of photographing this family for many years...being able to document their memories has been a great experience...and as if it couldn't get better, IT DID. Derek Joshua, or 3G as he is lovingly referred to, arrived on 11/28/10. He is just perfect. Just like the rest of the Grider Crew. I feel so lucky to have so many GREAT repeat customers. It definitely keeps me going. And I couldn't be more blessed.

I have major over-share posted below, so I must shut up and let you admire this precious family...TRUST ME, these are not the only good ones. It was so hard to choose, but I knew I couldn't post them all. LOL.

Well, if I had enough room, I would have added about 50 more of the photos from this session, not because the photography is so great but because I LOVE THESE PEEPS. Kyla has been one of my dearest friends for a very long time (I was even in her wedding back in July!!), therefore I have know Miss Anna this whole time too. I consider them & their family, MY FAMILY too. I love them all - Papa Sir, Meems (aka MiMi), Krissy, & Orrin. Now, she has married this crazy great, handsome dude, Dustin & he has joined our mix & match crew! They are perfect for each other & I am so glad that they are happy! :)

i have so much to post and so little time to edit & post it all...i have had such a fun month. october was GREAT. i will be posting all kinds of images this week from this month, that i have yet to share with you!

first, mid-october, we went to see my Nana, Jerry, & Uncle Kyle in Wheeler. (You saw a few of these a little while ago when i was showing off some of my favorite heart-breakers - see HERE.) The Rogers went with us and we fished and had a great time...I will have more to share of the Rogers later, but for now, here are some of my favorites that I want to share...

for some reason the image below makes me think of this incredibly sweet, humble man named ROYCE MARION...i <3 him (well, and all his girlies too)! BIG HUGS to that sweet guy!

i told you guys i would have more pictures from the "kingdom" day. even though presley is not a "king" per se, she's from the "king" fam...her mama was a king. :) she came to "help" take photos of her cousins last week, so i couldn't pass up an opportunity to finish her "rained out" session from a few weeks back (aka foo foo)!!!

wow, i love my part-time job. why can't I do this full time? seriously. cute kids, i mean, really cute kids, like the King's make my job SOOO much easier! not sure you can take a bad picture when you have subjects that are as cute as these kids. i hadn't seen them in person, since their last session - which was a while back!! you can see their first photos with me, here. they were precious then, and precious now.

i am so honored that their parents bring them to amarillo to let me photograph them!! they are one of my closest friend's family (brother, sister in law, neice & nephew). they lived in brownwood, now they have moved to san angelo. it was great to see them again, and spend saturday morning playing w/ all the kids at the "king-dom"!! brennan brought presley, and i brought cooper & gigi sosebee to assist too! we had a fabulous brunch by gigi king & the kids played & had a great time. i will post more on presley's & cooper's presence later.

for now, it's all about KENNEDY & GUNNER!!

this little angel's family came to visit us, yet again, a few weeks ago. they are so good to us. coming over here with all 3 kids to see us! paxton arrived 1 week before cooper's 1st birthday party. we had gone to the hospital that day and the next of course, but never expected to see him show up for the 1st birthday party, 1 week old!! we were so excited that they all made it. the daniels' are very, very dear to us. we love them so much and wished they lived in amarillo again, instead of pampa, so that we could see them more.

anyway, while they were visiting, i took the liberty of kidnapping paxton and putting one of cooper's old longhorn's outfits on him for a couple photos! this was the texas vs tech game - hook 'em!!

little pax, i just want you to know how happy i am that you are here.

Few things are better than photographing sweet, fun, cute babies in a great mood, 1st thing in the morning...Carson was NO exception. He kicked off my Saturday perfectly. I was sooo honored to get to document a family session and Carson's 1 year photos today. He was GREAT and....his parents were ok too! ;) It was nice to finally meet his dad, Dustin, and see his wonderful mother, again, whom I have been missing a lot.

Carson and Cooper are just weeks apart in age, so it was special to observe him in action...Especially since at the end of our session, Trey brought Cooper up to play with us and we took them to the playground. It was sooooo nice. I loved hanging with them. Can't wait to get together with them again soon. Here are a very few of my favorites from our fun-filled morning:

Foo Foo Girl ~ Presley Grace...

This little angel is getting so big....she is almost 4 months old. Last night, we attempted a foo foo girlie girl session but God had other plans for us. So, we enjoyed some food & fellowship instead. It was a wonderful start to my work week 3 beautiful girls (B, P & Gigi King) and 2 handsome men (Dewey & Cooper). I heart them all REAL big. :)

This last weekend on our WHIRLWIND trip to Fort Worth/Dallas, to see The Stice's, Terrell, Dave Matthews, etc....we got to see our cousin, Brandi's little boy, Zaiden! He is soooo cute and getting so big. We hadn't seen him since July 4th and he's grown! He has BIG beautiful eyes....

Anyway, his poor momma is going to have to go back to work on Wednesday and my heart goes out to her because I know how absolutely PAINFUL it is to leave your baby and go back to work. So, I just wanted to shout some LOVE her way...and let her know that we would be thinkin' about her and prayin' for her. Thanks again for bringing that little bundle of curly-headed JOY to see us! Love ya!

Labor Day Weekend, Minus the Labor!

We had a SUPER Labor Day Weekend at Ute Lake with some really fly peeps! :) The Rogers & The Millers hosted us at their lake house in Logan, NM for some fun, sun, and FOOD...

OH.MY.GOSH.THE.FOOD.......was delish. And worth every pound I gained!

The best part of the whole weekend was the absence of actual LABOR. It was so nice just to hang out with our friends, eat, let the kids run crazy, eat, not fix our hair or make-up, eat some more, sleep...you get the point. What an awesome time we had and we cannot wait to go back.

Here are a few candid photos from our weekend, minus the lake, because I didn't take my good camera out on the boat. I don't know, something about a HUGE lake with water in it and 2 crazy 1 year olds didn't mix well with electronics and digital memories...hmmm....

4 Wheelin' Fun

Cooper's 4 Wheelin' Adventures...

So, for Cooper's 1st birthday, Nana (my dad's mom) & Jerry got Cooper this Buzz Lightyear four-wheeler. Funny, because we had seen it, a week or so before-hand and thought, "no way would be able to ride that yet"...Well, we sure did under estimate him! We plugged it right in and the very next day he was riding w/o our help! It was so cute to watch his head "fling" back as he pushed the button & took off.

1 thing he couldn't get down, and still hasn't conquered, is the TURN...so, as one can imagine, it is not much fun for him to ride in the house anymore when he runs into everything...not even much fun for him to ride in the front/back yard when he needs our help to keep his adventures WILD...ya know? Therefore, I had a plan to take him to the school across the street & let him "just ride"...

One Sunday, we finally managed to do it. We went over, first thing in the morning, still in our jammies and "wolf-smelled" hair....for those of you who don't know what this is...in my home, growing up & still to this day, if you got up with WILD hair in the morning, Mama would say "you look like you smelled a wolf"...and you get now what our hair looked like, I am sure...

Anyway, to the photos, here are some of my favorites of my little WILD CHILD/Hell's Angel Wanna Be, "Ridin' like a Bat Outta Hell" through the City View Elementary parking lot...LOL, real wild, trust me, with his bare-feet and astronaut pj's!

Couldn't resist taking a couple of him playing in front of the school, that in a very short time, will become his school...Oh My! Now, I am tearing up. My little angel. Enjoy.

Scalf Family Introduces Miss Liddy

Back in Late 2008, I believe it was, I was asked by the Scalf/Johnston Families to do a family photo session for them. (click their name above to see their 2008 photos). I was honored to do so, since I still didn't have a lot of confidence in my photography...However, Heather had faith in me & patience with my learning process...Look how much their oldest, Avery, has grown in the almost 2 years that has gone by!

Now, here we are August 2010 & The Scalf Family has welcomed another beautiful baby girl into their family...Poor Joel - surrounded by beautiful women, what will he do with himself? :) They asked me yet again to photograph some of their family. We met up a couple weeks ago to get some "first shots" of Miss Elizabeth "Liddy" Ellen Scalf and of course, couldn't leave out BIG SISTER, Miss Avery! Also, as a side note, I was extremely elated and proud to see my 2008 work displayed very largely above the Johnston Family fireplace. Made my heart skip a beat that they liked the photo enough to BLOW-IT-UP and place it for all to see in their living room for the last 2 years! all smiles...

Florida Family Vacation 2010

Miss Presley Grace Comer {2 weeks old}

Miss Presley Grace Comer is here! YAY! I am a very proud (adoptive) Aunt LiLi...I loved this little girl before she was born, but now that she is here in the flesh, I love her even more than I could have imagined! She is gorgeous and if she is half the woman her mother is, she will be just as beautiful on the inside. As you can probably tell, her mom, Brennan or loving known as "B", is one of my very best friends. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding (4 short years ago) and here we are approx 6 years of friendship later, both sharing the blessed adventures of motherhood! It is amazing. God is so very good.

I am leaving for vacation today, but couldn't sneek away without sharing with you all (and of course, her Momma & GiGi) a few of my favorites, so far. I hope to finish these as soon as I return for you guys. Congrats again, Landon & Brennan. You will be wonderful parents. I love you!!
